1. Precious Cacao
Cacao is harvested by hand and it takes up to 400 beans to make just one pound of chocolate!
2. Caffeine Count
The darker the chocolate, the higher the amount of caffeine. But next to coffee, it's still low.
3. Food of the Gods
The name for the Cacao Tree is "Theobroma Cacao" which means "Food of the Gods". Yes it is.
4. The Fragile Tree
The Cacao tree is also very fragile, so unfortunately farmers can lose up to 30% of their beans.
5. Types of Chocolate
There are four official varieties of chocolate: Milk, Dark, White & Ruby Chocolate (introduced in 2017.)
